Exemplifying the phrase “Once a Rebel, Always a Rebel,” Laura is a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School.  She holds degrees in Agriculture (B.S. Virginia Tech,  M.S.  Auburn) as well as in Educational Leadership (M.Ed. Samford) and Educational Technology (Ed.S. Montevallo). She also earned the Certified Athletic Administrator designation from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA).  Laura has been a chemistry teacher at VHHS for the last 16 years while also serving in various coaching roles with softball and girls basketball.  For the last 6 years, Laura has served as an Assistant Athletic Director at Vestavia Hills High School.  Laura is thrilled to continue serving the Vestavia Hills community in her new role as assistant principal.

Walker Cook has been an educator since 2000. He holds a bachelor's degree from Lees-McRae College where he was a student athlete in basketball and golf, and he holds a master's degree and an educational specialist degree from Jacksonville State University in educational leadership. Currently, he is a doctoral student in educational leadership at Samford University. His professional career includes being a classroom teacher in English and social studies and being a basketball and golf coach at Eagle's Landing Christian Academy in Georgia and Moody Junior High School. In the Saint Clair County School System, he served as the assistant principal and principal of Odenville Middle School for the past 16 years. Walker is excited to be an assistant principal at Vestavia Hills High School and is eager to serve this extraordinary community.
